Great Dane
This is a famously big and strongly built breed, with a proud face, and long, agile legs. The Great Dane is a gentle giant that gets along with all people and animals, and is playful, affectionate and easy going. They make fantastic family guardians, but also loyal companions. Due to their big size they are better suited to a home with older kids, and with a garden.
With an eager to please and level headed nature, they are considered reasonably easy to train, but some can be a little stubborn. They have moderate energy needs, requiring a couple of walks and a little play each day, and are generally couch potatoes in the home. With their short coat, they need minimal grooming. A typical lifespan is 7-10 years.
