My story

I've been breeding dogs for 9 years, since 2016. I am a member of the Magyar Ebtenyésztők Országos Egyesülete.
I founded Eastern Curse Kennel in 2016 in Nyíregyháza, driven by my lifelong passion for the Wire Fox Terrier and my desire to contribute to the preservation and improvement of the breed’s genetic heritage. From my childhood through my young adulthood, I was mentored by my canine role model, Pál Szekeres, a nationally recognized and respected Fox Terrier breeder who worked with working-line dogs. My first breeding female, Fanni, came from him — she was not only my best friend but also my other half. After my mentor’s passing, I felt it was both my duty and personal responsibility to continue breeding. However, by that time, the ‘Venus’ bloodline had become outdated due to the growing influence of show-oriented breeding trends. I continued my work with a female purchased from the world-famous Agria Kennel, relying on the professional advice of András Korózs (former president of MEOE). With this dog, we achieved the Grand Champion title, and she produced many beautiful puppies who enriched the breed worldwide. I felt that I had found the right path — one where I could breed Fox Terriers of outstanding quality in both appearance, temperament, and character. During her last pregnancy in 2023, I had the honor of securing the World Winner Wire Fox Terrier of that year as the stud. The puppies born from this litter completely changed my original plan — which was to import a new female to add diversity to the Hungarian stock — because these puppies represented such a remarkable leap in quality that there was no longer any need to seek breeding females from Western Europe. This fills me with immense pride, and I see a very promising future for my dogs. In 2025, the first litter was born that was sired and whelped by Eastern Curse dogs — a major milestone in the kennel’s history. Nearly a decade of consistent, scientifically based breeding work has borne fruit. Despite our success, we continue to produce only a small number of litters — we will never become a commercial kennel. Getting a puppy from us is a rare opportunity, but it’s well worth the wait. The price of our puppies includes: careful selection of mating partners, prenatal care, optimal conditions for puppy development, vaccination program, microchip identification, and early socialization. We consider early socialization extremely important, so our puppies leave for their new homes at 9–10 weeks of age. The time spent with their mother and littermates provides them with a strong foundation before joining their new families. Each puppy goes to its new home with a pedigree, puppy card/passport, contract, and invoice. We stay in contact with all our puppy owners — they can always turn to us with any questions or concerns. Eastern Curse puppies can count on us for life.
